CODY RUNNELS > CASH FOR QUESTIONS
TRANSCRIBED FROM WWE MAGAZINE HOLIDAY 2007 ISSUE

This month Cody Rhodes reaches into the WWE mail sack and answers your questions about piercing noses and mackin' on the Nitro Girls.

My parents want me to go into the family's chemical waste removal business. Should I follow in my father's footsteps if I don't really want to?
RYAN FELDER, ANNAPOLIS, MD

No, not at all. One of the great things about my pops is that he didn't want me to get into wrestling. He didn't say no, but he didn't force me into the business, either. He let me do what I wanted to do. As luck would have it, I knew that I wanted to get into wrestling as soon as I saw my first live show. It was that easy for me.

On a dare, would you ever get a tattoo?
HEIDI GRIST, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

No. There's very little I wouldn't do on a dare, but I think tattoos are overkill. I look at some and think they're beautiful, but I don't think I could ever get one. Getting a tattoo doesn't make me any tougher.

What's the most embarrasing DVD you own?
JESSIE F, VIA E-MAIL

I should be embarrassed to own it, but I'm not. It's 13 Going on 30. It's a badass movie. Yeah, it's badass. I was into that movie, bottom line. I was into that movie.

Do you have a big birthmark like your Daddy, Dusty?
STANTHEMAN, VIA E-MAIL

I have the exact same birthmark, except it is the size of my pinky nail and it's on my hip. But it is the splotch. When I was a kid, my dad didn't tell me the splotch was a birthmark, he told me that a fan threw a dart at him.

Do you have any nicknames, like maybe "C-Dogg"
K-CARR_MAN, VIA E-MAIL

Every now and then my dad calls me "Garrett," which is my middle name. And then there's "Code-man." I get that a lot. A few of the Divas call me "Coddles," which makes me feel like I'm six years old again.

I drive a total beater. It's a white rusted '88 Toyota Corolla. I'm so embarrassed. I can't afford a new car. What should I do?
FELTON MOSS, TUSCON, AZ

Let me answer your question with a question of my own. Does it drive well? Because if it drives well, keep it. In high school, I had a Z71, all blacked-out, and jacked up six-inches, with 35-inch tires. But it was the biggest piece of junk on the inside. When I got it going up to 60 miles an hour, panels would start coming off. Bottom line, if it runs wll, who cares what it looks like?

You look very familiar. Ever work at Abercrombie?
CINDY JENSON, EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ

I have never worked at Abercrombie & Fitch, but I have taken photos for the A&F catalog. Thank God they didn't make it in, 'cause they were bad. That's how I dressed in high school, though - every accessory, every leather band, necklace, plus every pair of cargo shorts.

Do you have a passion for any sport other than wrestling?
PETER SCHULTZ, BOSTON, MA

Amatuer wrestling was the only one. I only lost twice in high school. I was 101-2 and won two state championships at 189 pounds. That was my life. Waking up at 6 a.m. in winter, hitting the track and carrying 2-by-4s on my shoulders - it was full blown.

Cody, I hear you had your nose pierced. True?
BRASSKNUCKS4YA, VIA E-MAIL

Yes, I had it done when I was 17, during a senior trip to the Grand Cayman. All the girls were talking about it, so I tagged along. I was actually the first to go do it and it was the most painful thing I can remember. I had tears coming from my eyes. The worst part was that not a single one of those girls got her nose pierced after seeing how rough it was.
